I would give less than one star if possible. We have been loyal Ed Schadler customers for over 20 years. We have all of our life insurance, car insurance , as well as our homeowners, through his agency. We needed to file a claim. Spoke to a rep from his office, she called claims department, within an hour I received an email, that the accident was covered and our possessions would be replaced under our homeowners policy. We received a claim number and we were told to lost our lost items and bring them to the office with any receipts we have. The next day we received a call saying it WAS NOT covered. Per Ed Schadler's office they are "sorry" but they aren't paying the claim. I recommend not only finding another agent, but also consider a company other than State Farm. They accepted thousands of dollars from us each year, but when we needed them they were not there. In my opinion, your insurance is only as good as your agent. Find a company/agent that actually pays claims.

Thanks alot State Farm for such a viscous greedy tactic to a middle class home owner (my home value is only around $140k)!
They reported this $0.00 claim to the insurance reporting agencies and now we are having difficulty finding new insurance because of this.
Also my son is autistic and heard all this going on and is now frantic!
They canceled my homeowners for a Claim that I closed with $0.00 payment as we did not end up needing it - was able to make the repairs myself.
You can default on your home loan if you don't have continuous coverage also - thanks a bunch.
Have also been a customer for 20 years. Filed a claim on a car and everything was paid even the storage fee from the crooked towing company. Lesson learned if a car looks totaled have it towed to your house instead of paying outrageous storage fees.
We only had 1 other non Act of God claim that was payed out since 2009 and this is what they do to a customer of over 11 years - we have had 2 car insurance policies also.
